Psychiatrist Adelė Butėnaitė

Mental disorders can be a source of great suffering, confusion, and loneliness. Nevertheless, I believe that by patiently exploring the difficulties that arise and finding the most appropriate ways to help, improvement in well-being is indeed possible.

I am a psychiatrist and also studying psychotherapy at the Institute of Humanistic and Existential Psychotherapy. I have experience in diagnosing and treating anxiety and mood disorders (depression, bipolar disorder), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, sleep disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and psychotic spectrum disorders. I am interested in psychological trauma, psychosomatics, and dissociative disorders.

However, at work, I am most interested in people, so I value the principles of respect, equality, and cooperation. During the consultation, together with the person applying, we try to better understand the difficulties they are experiencing and look for the most appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods of assistance.
