Identity issues

identity

Identity is usually associated with the subjective perception and affirmation of oneself as an individual who combines various social roles. In other words, identity is the ability to describe oneself and answer the question “What and who am I?”, taking into account one’s feelings, thoughts, needs, vision of personal life, aspirations, values, abilities and limitations. Identity is related not only to identity or gender, but also to the choice of profession, sexuality, and life decisions. By creating and understanding one’s own image – identity – a person can become the person one wants to be, understand one’s place in the world, choose an acceptable lifestyle, activities, and interact harmoniously with other people. Let’s remember – it is much easier to search for answers to rather complex but extremely valuable questions about oneself together with a psychologist than alone.
